Love heart 14k gold filled hoop earrings, available with ebony or parchment enamel heart charms. Stylish, super lightweight and comfortable to wear.

* Hand mixed cold enamel filled gold plated heart charm 1.5cm. Available in ebony or parchment.

* Gold filled brass hoops 2cm. Nickel and lead free. Gold filled jewellery is also known as rolled gold or gold bonded and is created by mechanically bonding a layer of gold to a layer of base metal - usually brass. The outer gold layer must be at least 1/20 of the overall metal content by weight. Therefore, filled gold makes a great alternative to gold plating, which is thinner and less durable.

*Every piece of jewellery is handmade to order and therefore unique in appearance, this may result in a slight variation to the pictured item.

    Jewellery Care

Just like you, jewellery needs tender loving care. I want you to enjoy every piece of OriginSeventyOne jewellery, so I've created a 'top tips' list to help you to keep your jewellery as lovely as the first day you purchased.

    • Everyday wear will inevitably cause your piece to tarnish and gold plate and antique bronze will eventually fade, due to only being surface finishes, how quickly this happens will depend on how it is looked after, skin type & frequency of wear. Treat it as a precious piece and it will last. To help maintain the plating, store in an airtight container or a zip lock bag or jewellery box, don't wear perfume or creams in the same area that you wear your jewellery and never spray perfume once your jewellery is on!
    • Remove jewellery before exercise, be it swimming, gym, gardening, cleaning or even sleeping as this will ensure that our delicate jewellery is not accidentally damaged or tarnished due to water or chemicals. Perspiration can also contribute to the tarnishing of your jewellery.
    • Remove jewellery before removing clothing!
    • Store jewellery separately, so that they don't tangle or rub and scratch against each other. Do not store next to heating vents, windowsills or in the bathroom.  Damp and hot conditions with cause the jewellery to tarnish badly.
    • Cleaning tarnish from gold plated chain (do not let resin pendent charms/gems come into contact with water) To clean gold or silver plated jewellery, use lukewarm water and mild dish soap. Do not use a heavy-duty soap, as this will contain chemicals that can damage the jewellery. You can leave your jewellery in the water and soap mixture for around 10 minutes then remove from the water and rinse it off in warm water to get all the soap completely removed and then let it dry completely before wearing it or storing it away.

Please treat with care to enjoy season after season. If you have any questions, relating to the care of your jewellery, please get in touch.
