Hello, I'm Fay and the founder of OriginSeventyOne. I have been a fashion buyer for independent stores for over 20 years and during the pandemic, with time on my hands, I had an urge to rediscover my love for jewellery making from my college days! I started making jewellery for friends and family who loved the designs they'd seen me wearing and this led to the launch of OriginSeventyOne in November 2020. 

Having been part of the fashion world and aware of the huge impact that oversupply has had on our planet, it was important that my values were reflected through my brand. I wanted to ensure that I developed an ethical and sustainable brand that had minimal impact on the environment.

Inspired by modernist architecture and geometric shapes, I create resin and gemstone designed jewellery in limited edition collections, mostly 'made to order' or 'bespoke' and so minimising end of season waste and reducing the impact on the environment whilst you can be safe in the knowledge that you won't see lot's of people wearing the same design!

I design, make, photograph, market and package everything from my home workshop in the West Midlands. I source the majority of the materials in the UK and recycle almost everything I use in making the jewellery and often repurpose resin drips and offcuts in new designs. I use recycled and recyclable shipping supplies that customers can re-use and re-purpose themselves.

I have always been passionate about jewellery and accessories and love how they can transform the way you look and make you feel fabulous. My aim is to create thoughtful, design-led jewellery at accessible prices in as eco-friendly way as possible.
